Wedding dress shopping is such a fun experience. I remember my own experience very well. I had a countdown on my phone that reminded me of how many days were left until my appointment. To say I was excited was an understatement. However, with all the excitement can often come a nervousness. There are a lot of valid concerns that may cross a brides mind prior to her appointment and if you have ever shopped for a wedding dress you know that sometimes these feelings can make it harder to enjoy your experience. I have heard it all from a bride's concern about her weight to the need for validation from every person in attendance that the dress is actually the right one. There are also those times that a bride comes in and she is nervous because she has no idea what she wants. I am here to tell you that is 1000% okay and actually very common. The great thing about wedding dress shopping is that bridal shop owners are professionals. This is the difference from shopping in a boutique or a department store. It really is unlike any shopping experience you've ever had and you should realize this pretty early on in your appointment. We will know better than you about what type of dress will look best on you and how to pick a dress that speaks to your personality and personal style. This is what we love to do. We are dress matchmakers if you will and our number one job is to take the stress off of you. I do have a few tips to share that will also make your dress shopping experience the absolute best it can be. Tip #1: Bring those closest to you to your appointment that have your absolute best interest at heart. Tip #2: Look up dresses prior to your appointment to show us before your appointment or once you arrive. This will help us select dresses for you that are true to what you are looking for. Also, tell your stylist what you like and what you do not like about a dress. Learning what you do not like is just as important as learning what you do like. We perform a prescreening process prior to every appointment that really helps us have a great idea of what you are looking for before you even arrive. We also already have 3 dresses hanging in the dressing room when you arrive based on your answers to these questions. We find it makes the process so much less stressful on you and you really just get to enjoy trying on dresses rather than trying to figure it out on your own.
Tip #3: Know that you are so beautiful just the way you are and there is a dress for you. No matter if you are a size 6 or 26. We hand select dresses just for you before you come in and we also have dresses in all shapes and sizes. Every single bride deserves to have the same experience no matter what.
